Not that the E60 is bad, but a renault megane R.26.Rwith less than half the horsepower lapped the ring just four seconds slower than an E60 M5. And the warmed over "trophy" version of the megane lapped much faster than the M5 while, again, having about half the horsepower. Life is too short for FWD? No, life is too short for E60s since they are beaten by french hatchbacks.

Yes! Thank you for this, and thank Sabine for her awesome driving skills. The E60 M5, a car I would never own but worship for it's completely bonkers mix of exoticness, machinery and a hint of understatedness.
